Spelling: We follow the Twinkl spelling scheme which covers all statutory spellings and patterns for each year group.
2026 is the National Year of Reading and we are 'going all in' to provide lots of new and exciting reading events across the year.

News update:
Our Writing Ambassadors are on the hunt for examples of brilliant writing from across the school. They plan to showcase these and share them with parents so keep an eye out!
Libraries for Primaries - Mrs McKay and Mrs Duffy are working hard behind the scenes to complete the training which will grant us new library furniture and 500 new books through this fantastic scheme. Watch this space....
March 5th is this year's World Book Day. Please see the information already sent regarding wooden spoons and dressing as genres.
Mrs McKay has met with other local English Leads to discuss a collaborative writing project overseen by the Corinium Education Trust. More details about this will be shared soon.
Blind Date with a Book, organised by our reading Ambassadors, proved to be a big hit! You shouldn't judge a book by its cover :)
Our 3rd Literature Festival, which took place on January 27th, was another huge success! It was made even more exciting by the addition of Cathy from Radio Cotswolds joining us for the day. The 17 children who took part in making the radio show really enjoyed the experience.
December 2025 - the Writing Ambassadors chose the winners of their first ever creative writing competition. It was a difficult choice. Well done to Leo in Year 6 for being the overall winner.
