Willow Class Blog Autumn 2 Week 7
Date: 19th Dec 2025 @ 1:44pm
We’ve made it to the final day of term! What a busy term we have had. From Bristol Aerospace to putting on our nativity the children have worked hard and made everyone so proud. This term it has been great to see the children’s friendships develop and continue to develop our relationship with Maple class.
This week we have been doing lots of Geography! We have been looking at our local area using Google maps and looking closely at how aerial views can help people plan designs. We had a message from an alien who needed help locating Willow class so we all drew classroom maps. We also are beginning to plan new ideas for our playground so created a map of our current playground.
On Monday, we made our delicious smoothies and got to try them. We had to chop the fruit and then Mrs Gardener blended the fruit. Kiwi and cucumber was definitely an interesting choice! We also had a visit from the Everyman theatre to take part in a Panto workshop, we loved dressing up and this prepared us well for our visit to Cheltenham on Tuesday. We enjoyed the coach ride and had a fabulous time at the Panto. We loved seeing Tweedy and Keith. We were very impressed by Tweedy’s sword throwing skills and the magical snow.
On Wednesday we sang our hearts out performing at the carol concert. We enjoyed singing and loved seeing Maples nativity tableaux. We also loved Mr Batchelor’s unique rendition of the 12 days of Christmas with props. We said goodbye to Mr Barchelor today and we will miss him. We have enjoyed his computing lessons in particular and unique ways of answering the register each week.We have finished the week with a Christmas roast, meeting a certain Father Christmas and celebrating with a class party and film. We have also loved getting all crafty making decorations with Mrs Gardener.
Today we performed around the tree by performing Felix Navidad to the rest of the school. Feliz Navidad with Lyrics | Love to Sing Christmas Songs and Carols 🎄We also said goodbye to Eric as he went off to help Father Christmas get ready for the big day. He’s been swinging from the projector, been on alien patrol and even moved our classroom around overnight.
Thank you so much for the lovely messages and gifts we have received. Have a fabulous and safe Christmas and we look forward to welcoming you back in 2026. Time to predict how many times Miss Jackson will put 2025 on the LOs in the new year!
Merry Christmas!
Miss Jackson, Mrs Gardener, Julia and Willow Class
