Week 2 Autumn 1

Date: 14th Sep 2025 @ 7:00pm

We've had a busy week where we have started yet more routines in Chestnut Class. The children are coping well with the build up of work and are generally enjoying and stepping up to the challenge!

This week - when we haven't succumbed to technical and computing issues - we have introduced daily spelling practise, word detective work, dictation and handwriting. The Year 4 children have been very supportive and encouraging of their Year 3 classmates as they get into the swing.

We all thoroughly enjoyed our poetry unit where we wrote haikus, onomatopoeia poems and colour poems, with many children happy to share their work in Friday's celebration worship.

Reminders:

Swimming starts for Y4 this Wednesday.

All Year 3 children are required to bring full waterproofs and long sleeved under layes and trousers, as well as wellies for Forest School - especially as the weather is set to be wet and cooler from now on.

Together we live, learn and flourish
