Week 1 Blog

Date: 22nd Mar 2023 @ 4:05pm

Wednesday 22nd March 2023

Welcome to our Class Blog. Each week, two children from our Year 1 and 2 class will write a short summary of the week and anything they have really enjoyed. Starting us off we have Zak and Hugo who have written a bit about what we have been learning and reading this week:

This week has been a busy one in Willow Class! In Science, we are learning about plants and how they grow. In Maths, we have been learning about money and how much notes and coins are worth. In Geography we have been learning about Antarctica and the Arctic. We created a Venn Diagram of all the different geographical features and animals in these places.

We have a class book every half term, and we have just finished reading James and the Giant Peach. We wanted to give a short review from each of our perspectives:

Zak: I thought it was a good book because James flew away on a giant peach with giant insects all the way to New York.

Hugo: I thought it was a bit good because the seagulls tried to eat the glow worm, but didn't like it because the pictures weren't coloured in.
