Start of Term 6

Chestnut Class have come back well after half term and have coped brilliantly with the first week of the summer term - one which had several changes to routine. The cricket coach was particularly impressed with how the class conducted themselves when moving from outside to in as the rain poured. The class photo on Thursday took a bit of arranging, and again, the children were really sensible and followed the photographer's instructions well. 

The children have moved places once again, as it is the start of a new term,  and have done so in a mature manner.

We are preparing to write a flashback narrative in English this week and I know that these will be great as the children are so investerd in the story of Podkin One-ear, on which it shall be based. Measurement in maths provides the perfect excuse to get your children baking / cooking at home, so please do encourage them to practice reading scales and telling the time.
