Maple Class - Summer 2, week 7

Date: 17th Jul 2026 @ 12:59pm

Well, we have finally come to the end of the year.  We are so proud of the amazing progress each and every child has made in Maple Class, it is alway so wonderful to reflect on how far them have come from September to July.

At the beginning of the week the Maple class children were wonderful in helping us sort and tidy the classroom.

On Thursday we went to Church for the Year 6 leavers assembly.  Each child in Maple had painted a portrait of a year 6 child, and these were made into a card and presented to them in church.  We were very proud at how well all the children sat, especially as it was quite a long service.  Thursday afternoon we did some mindful colouring, made bracelets and also cooked up the potatoes that we dug up from our Maple garden last week.  Wow!  They were delicious and every single child ate most of them!  One child said "I don't like these, I love them!"  It was great to have Mrs Balloch come into Maple and try them too!

On Friday the last group finished their balanceability course and I was really proud of how they are confidently gliding around on the bikes, well done.  We played some party games and then it was time to say goodbye.

Thank you so much for the generous and thoughtful gifts and cards, it is very much appreciated.  We have loved teaching your children this year, and  feel so priviledged to have been part of their story.

Have the most wonderful summer full of memory making, laughter and fun.

Lots of love
