Maple Class 26-27 - Autumn 1, week 1
Date: 4th Sep 2026 @ 2:49pm
It has been wonderful to welcome our new Maple children into class this week. They have been an absolute delight to be with this week and have all got on so well as a cohort. We hope they enjoyed it as much as we did!
This week has been about exploring the classroom, both inside and outside, getting to know one another and settling in. The children all did really well staying for lunch today and enjoyed playing with the rest of the school at lunchtime in the big playground.
We have been reading lots of stories this week, singing, playing in the home corner, exploring the writing shed, small world areas and mud lkitchen, riding the trikes, taking part in a dough disco session (this is where we exercise our hands and fingers with playdough, to music, to help strengthen our muscles to hep us with fine motor activities and writing) as well as lots more.
This is what each child said they enjoyed:
Bethan - I enjoyed the home corner and playing inside
Deliliah - I enjoyed the puppet show and playing with the babies
Freya - I enjoyed playing inside with the BBQ and the phones
Gabe - I enjoyed doing the puzzles
Jude - I enjoyed looking at the magnets and the dinosaurs
Luna - I enjoyed playing Doctors
Oliver - I enjoyed the pirate ship and the dinosaurs
Oscar - I enjoyed being on the playground and playing on the trikes and with the darts
Rosalie - I enjoyed exploring the torches and the dinosaurs
Have a lovely weekend and we look forward to the children staying with us all day next week.
