We, at Ampney Crucis C of E Primary School, want to give every child the opportunity to take part in different sports at all levels, within school, with and against local schools and county wide. 

We like to invite lots of different sports people in to share their expertise as well as taking children out to different events.

The impact of us spending the Sports Premium is that we hope a greater number of children take up the opportunities given, they live healthier lifestyles and enjoy both individual and team sports.

Due to COVID-19 the DFE allowed any unspent grant to be carried forward into this academic year 20-21. We, like many schools had an under spend, due to not being able to attend sporting fixtures, have visitors in school and offer the children other PE activities. This underspend is due to be spent in several ways:

- provide all the children both in school and at home a skipping rope to keep fit with and then tie this in with a skipping day in the summer term run by an outside professional.

- purchase 15 scooters for each Key Stage along with helmets and safety pads.

-purchase Active English and Maths - part of our recovery curriculum, catch up and sports grant.
