Ampney Crucis C of E Primary School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

We have a number of policies and procedures in place that contribute to our safeguarding commitment, including our Safeguarding Policy which can be viewed in the Policies section of our website and seen below.

Sometimes we may need to share information and work in partnership with other agencies when there are concerns about a child's welfare. We will ensure that our concerns about our pupils are discussed with his/her parents/carers first unless we have reason to believe that such a move would be contrary to the child's welfare.

We actively support the Government's Prevent Agenda to counter radicalism and extremism.

Our Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) is Mrs Tana Wood (Headteacher). Our Deputy DSL is Mr Gavin Pugh and our DDSLs are Mrs Heather Chadwick (Office Manager)and Mrs Sophie Fletcher (SEND TA).

Our Safeguarding Governor is Reverend John Swanton, supported by the Chair of Governors, Mr Ian Smith.

Children Missing in Education

We follow the Government's guidance as set out in the document Children Missing in Education.

It is extremely important we know where our children are at all times.

If your child is going to be absent from school please let us know by 9:15 either via a telephone call, leave a message on the absence line or via email

If we do not receive a message we will ring the contact numbers we have for your child. If we are still unable to reach you we will contact local Children Services.
